Glyn Kembrey & Son has been established for over 47 years working in all aspects of the building and construction trade. Including house extensions, loft conversions, bathrooms, kitchens, drain work, plumbing and heating, decorating, plastering, electrical work and general building and repairs. Plus a large portion of our work is roofing. That is tile, slate, flatroof and leadwork.

Based in Eastville, Bristol with easy access to the M4 motorway Glyn and his team work Nationally as well as within the local area of South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Somerset.

Qualified Team

Glyn’s son is a qualified Joiner and Carpenter so between them they can tackle and job.

About Glyn

Born in Newport, South Wales, after leaving school attended Nash College. Took 1 year pre apprentice course in building work and chose to be a plumber. Served a 4 year apprenticeship with G.Prosser & Co Ltd. This was a building company and not only gained skills in plumbing and heating but also in other trades such as brick work, plastering, carpentry, roofing, drainage, painting and decorating. Passed Welsh Joint City and Guilds and became member of the Chartered Institute of Plumbers. After leaving Prossers became a charge hand for Wallaces Builders and worked on building sites. Following that gained good experience working for John Jones and helped run the company. Married and moved to Bristol in 1976 after having left my last employer, Barcombe & Co to go self employed.

Having been taught by a building company I was able to carry out many trades unlike other people that just deal with on trade. I have trained many young lads in the past 47 years and a few have gone on to start their own businesses.
